Code of Conduct
At Alinea, we believe in fostering a respectful and inclusive community everywhere our members gather. Whether you’re chatting on our Discord server, adventuring on our Minecraft server, or interacting in any other Alinea-related space, these guidelines apply.
General Conduct
-
Know and understand these rules
Not knowing or understanding a rule won’t get you out of trouble.
-
Your account is your responsibility
You are responsible for all activity on your account. We highly recommend using 2FA to secure it.
-
Respect others
Not everyone can get along. Rather than bullying, harassing, insulting, or threatening others, simply keep your distance. Live and let live.
-
Be tolerant of differences
Alinea is a diverse community. We do not tolerate homophobia, racism, sexism, or any other forms of hate speech.
-
Keep it clean
Don’t share anything illegal, sexually explicit, or offensive. Occasional mild swearing, when not directed at others, is allowed, but definitely not encouraged.
-
Don’t be disruptive
Don’t spam messages. This includes excessive use of caps, repeated messages, screaming, annoying voice changers, or sound boards.
-
Don’t impersonate others
Don’t pretend to be someone else, especially not a member of the Alinea team.
-
Respect the rules
Don’t encourage or conspire with others to break the rules. Respect and uphold these rules at all times.
-
Respect authority
Our team will apply rules fairly, looking at each situation. Their decision is final. Don’t unnecessarily argue with our team about rule enforcement.
-
Don’t advertise without permission
You can share your Alinea videos/streams by linking to alinea.gg in description/on stream. Want to promote something else? Ask and obtain permission from an administrator first.
Privacy
-
Respect privacy
Don’t share anyone else’s personal information, even if they say it’s okay. If they want to share it, they can do so themselves.
-
Respect the privacy of our younger members
If you’re under 16, keep your personal details to yourself. Don’t share your face in videos or streams.
-
Ask before recording
Always get active consent from everyone involved before recording or streaming. Announcing you’re recording is not enough; all participants must agree.
-
Keep private chats private
Keep private chats private. Don’t screenshot or record private conversations without everyone’s permission, unless it’s to report a rule violation.
