Code of Conduct
At Alinea, we believe in fostering a respectful and inclusive community everywhere our members gather. Whether you're chatting on our Discord server, adventuring on our Minecraft server, or interacting in any other Alinea-related space, these guidelines apply.
Title I General Conduct
These rules establish the foundation for how we interact as a community. By following them, you help create an environment where everyone feels respected, safe, and welcome.
Know the rules
It’s your responsibility to understand the rules. “I didn’t know” isn’t an excuse.
Be respectful
No harassment, threats, or bullying. If you can’t get along with someone, keep your distance.
Be tolerant
Don’t discriminate against others, including homophobia, racism, sexism, or hate speech of any kind.
Mind your language
Use language that’s appropriate for people aged 13 or older. A bit of mild swearing is fine, but keep it in check.
Keep it clean
Don’t post anything illegal, pornographic, or offensive. If it’s something you wouldn’t share in a public place, don’t share it here.
Your account, your responsibility
You’re responsible for anything that happens with your account, even if someone else uses it. Set up two-factor authentication if you are afraid of someone else using your account.
Avoid disruptions
Don’t spam, flood, or disrupt the community. This includes excessive emojis, caps, repeated messages, screaming, and annoying voice changers.
Be yourself
Don’t impersonate others, especially staff members.
Keep the peace
Don’t encourage or conspire with others to break the rules.
Respect authority
Don’t argue unnecessarily with moderators or administrators when they’re enforcing the rules.
Don't advertise
Don’t use Alinea to advertise or promote anything without permission from an administrator. This includes sharing links to other servers, communities, or services. However, you’re free to share videos or streams you’ve made on Alinea without special permission—just make sure to include a link to our website (https://alinea.gg) in the description or comments.
Title II Privacy
Privacy is essential to maintaining trust in our community. These rules ensure everyone’s personal boundaries are respected, so we can create a safe and secure space for all.
Respect privacy
Don’t share anyone else’s personal information, even if they say it’s okay. If they want to share it, they can do so themselves.
Respect privacy of children
If you’re under 16, keep your personal details to yourself. Don’t share your face in videos or streams.
Ask before recording
We welcome content creation on Alinea, but remember that we’re not a creator-focused community. Always get consent from everyone involved before recording or streaming—just announcing it isn’t enough; all participants must agree.
Keep private chats private
Keep private chats private. Don’t screenshot or record private conversations without everyone’s permission, unless it’s to report a rule violation.
